The excursion to Bursa can be done in a full day, it is 150 km from Istanbul. It is located in the south of the Marmara Sea. The importance of the city of Bursa comes from being the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Silk, theatrical figures from Hacivat and Karagoz, Uludag Mountain, thermal pools and the celebrated ecumenical council of Christianity in Nicea in 325 are Bursa's riches.

The Tomb and the Green Mosque (Yesil Turbe) ;  the name of the Tomb and the Mosque (1421 - Sultan Mehmet I) comes from the color of the tiles and ceramics that have been used in the construction. Sultan Mehmet I made the restoration to the state of the Ottoman Empire in the early 15th century after the defeat against the Temurlan in Ankara in 1402.

Kozahan ;  It is a huge historical building with a courtyard dating from 1491. Today the small shops of silk cloths and scarves still survive. It was the center of the silk cocoon market.

Great Mosque (Ulu Cami) ;  It is one of the monumental mosques that was built after the battle of Nicopolis (Nigbulo). Sultan Beyazit I and Stefan Lazarević the leader of the Principality of Serbia had won the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396 against the Hungarian alliance.

The tombs of Sultan Osman and Orhan ; These are the tombs of the founders of the Ottoman Empire. From the terrace of the tombs a very good view of the city of Bursa awaits you.

Grand Bazaar of Bursa ;  This Bazaar is very local and traditional. There you can find everything from curtains for the houses to nuts.

The Uludag Ski Center ;  It was inaugurated as one of the first in Turkey. But, today already in many cities, including in Cappadocia (Erciyes Ski Center).
