The city of Konya ;  Is located on the road from Cappadocia to Antalya or Pamukkale. For this reason, it is very visited by tourists who travel these routes in terrestrial versions. Konya was the capital of the Seljuk Turkish state from the 11th - 13th century. Therefore it is one of the first Turkish capitals in Anatolia. The bread and meat from the Konya plateau is very tasty. It is considered as the deposit of the wheat of Turkey. There are many sayings about the “Karaman Sheep” which is a Turkish nomad breed.

The Mosque and Hill of Alaeddin ;  Alaeddin Mosque is one of the oldest and largest in Konya and built during the Seljuk Turkish state on a hill. It was built in different stages between 1150-1221 in the periods of the sultans Rukneddin Mesud I, Kılıçarslan, Izzeddin Keykavus I, Alaeddin Keykubad II. In the courtyard of the mosque, there are the tombs of the Seljuk dynasty.

The Monastery of Mevlana (The museum of the whirling dervishes) ;  The Mevlana Museum was a former monastery of the whirling dervishes from the 14th century. The Monastery was built in the time of Karamanoglu Alaeddin Bey (1361-1398) on top of the tomb of Mevlana who died in 1273. In the museum-monastery you will see the tomb Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi the mystic (Sufi), Turkish poet and theologian more important of Anatolia at all times. They are exposed readings of the sacred of the Koran and tombs, room and clothes of the ritual dances (sema), astrology utensils, and the kitchen. Tales of teachings for children and administrative councils (Divan-i Kebir) for the Seljuk sultans are some of his most important works. The book "Mesnevi" written by his student Husamettin Celebi recounts the sayings of Mevlana in mythology, legends, folk tales and the Koran.

The Madrasah of Karatay ;  To see the best tiles and ceramics of the turquoise-green color and mythological (non-Islamic) themes, we recommend a brief visit in this old school from the 13th century. There are very typical Turkish sphinx figures. The tiles on display are from the Palace of Kubadabad Sarayı on Lake Beysehir. At a distance of 200 meters from the Madrasah of Karatay you can bequeath to the Madrasah of Ince Minare with a huge low-fill work on the portal.

The Mosque of Sultan Selim Cami ;  It is located next to the Mevlana museum and is a typical example of classical Ottoman architecture from the 16th century. An other Ottoman mosque is the Aziziye Cami which was rebuilt in 1867 by Sultana Pertevniyal, the mother of Sultan Abdulaziz and is a good example of neoclassical Ottoman architecture.
