Pamukkale.

Destination Pamukkale ;  The visit to Pamukkale is included in many itineraries. Pamukkale and Denizli province is located inland on the Meditarran coast, the Aegean coast and Cappadocia. The classic tours leave from Cappadocia, pass through Konya and arrive at Pamukkale but it is a 660 km road .. In private versions you can add one more night in Konya or Egirdir to shorten the distance. To feel as healthy as the Romans of Hierapolis, you can bathe in the thermal water pools of the hotels in Pamukkale. The destination of Pamukkale has advantages of making links to other tourist destinations such as Antalya, Fethiye, Marmaris, Bodrum, Ephesus, Kusadasi, Izmir or taking a plane to Istanbul.

Pamukkale Travertines ;  Pamukkale, known as the "cotton castle" in Turkish. The thermal water pools formed white terraces that attract thousands of tourists from other nearby tourist destinations. The white terraces is located within the same ruins of Hierapolis and is included in the same entry ticket. How were the travertines of Pamukkale formed? They are formed as a result of the precipitation of calcium carbonate in groundwater. Chemical deposits in the composition of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) precipitate over time and form soft-layered travertines.

The Ruins of Hierapolis ;  Due to the curative characteristic of the water from the springs they have called the city as the "Holy City", in Greek "Hiera Polis". The ancient Roman city Hierapolis was built in the 2nd century BC. by Attalos II, the king of Pergamon. Hierapolis was added to the UNESCO list in 1988. The main monuments restored by Turkish and Italian archaeologists are; The Roman baths converted into a basilica (basilica bath), Domitian's gate, the causeway, the north Byzantine gate, the gymnasium, (Today, archaeological museum), the statue of Hades with (cerberus) his three-headed dog at the entrances from hell, the source of triton (god of the sea, a mixture of man and fish), the sanctuary of Apollo, the martyrdom of the apostle Philip.

The Necropolis of Hierapolis ;  Entering Hierapolis from the north gate an ancient path leads us between tombs, sarcophagi, mausoleums and burial chambers. Many tombs belong to the patients who traveled to Hierapolis for the holy water to heal from diseases. For this reason the Necropolis of Hierapolis is considered one of the largest Necropolis of Roman times.

The Theater of Hierapolis ;  It's a great feeling to walk up the hill to the theater, sit for a while and enjoy the views of this huge theater. With the capacity of 12,000 spectators, it is considered one of the best examples of great theaters in the Roman world.

Cleopatra's Pool ;  The thermal water at 36 degrees that has healing properties gave it fame. Please ask her guide to show you the thermal water spring. The water is very clear, bright and bubbles float from where it comes out. Cleopatra is supposed to bathe periodically in this water and today it is our turn to bathe. If you have time to visit, you can take a refreshing dip in Cleopatra's Pool.

The Kaklik Cave ;  If you go to Pamukkale from Cappadocia the Kaklik cave is on your way. 50 km before Pamukkale. There are calcium carbonate terraced formations like those of Pamukale but smaller and underground. From the entrance, go down some stairs that take you to the cave, the route continues along the water current. A stream with a high mineral content that rises from the surface has formed the pools over time. Following the path next to the stream, you can take a circular walk that leads to the exit.
